An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a committed Principal Psychologist to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in the Warrington, Cheshire area. You will be working for one of UK\βs leading health care provider
This special hospital service provides care and treatment for adult women in medium, and low secure, and psychiatric intensive care PICU) environments, who have Personality Disorder and Mental Health conditions
To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Psychologist registered with the HCPC
As the Principal Psychologist your key responsibilities include:
- Directly, or through the provision of supervision, to make highly skilled evaluations and decisions about treatment options taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models and highly complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the individual, family or group
- Leading the Psychology team at the service
- Ensuring clear systems are in place (and are followed) to process and manage new referrals/admissions
- Supporting and Supervising other departmental members in the assessment, formulation and case management of therapeutic work
- Developing and support appropriate systems for the effective running of the Psychology service in line with clinical governance standards, professional standards and departmental procedures
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
- Experience of working as a principal psychologist
- Experience of working in mental health and complex presentations, including Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder, eating disorders and complex traumas
- Able to show a can-do attitude always
