An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Deputy Nurse Manager to work in an exceptional care home based in the Paisley, Renfrewshire area. You will be working for one of the UK's leading healthcare providers. This fantastic care home is situated in a residential area just outside Paisley offering nursing and nursing dementia care.
As the Deputy Manager your key responsibilities include:
- Deputise for the Home Manager and take responsibility for delegated duties to ensure the smooth running of the Home.
- Support the Home Manager, and take the lead where required, in the end-to-end recruitment process for all Home-based vacancies.
- Ensure that the reporting of any ill-health amongst Residents and requests for GP/Professional visits is followed up to facilitate the appropriate care and treatment of the resident.
- Administer prescribed medicines and maintain the appropriate records in line with company policies, procedures and NMC guidelines.
- Ensure the maintenance of accurate records/notes (including incident reports) to meet safeguarding, health and safety and statutory legal requirements.
- Audit care plans to ensure that all are accurate, up to date, and appropriate to meet residents' changing needs.
- Assist the Home Manager for the delivery of clinical services and nursing practice in accordance with regulatory requirements and take responsibility in their absence.
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
- Previous Deputy Home Manager experience.
- The ability to engage with the service users to understand their needs in order to provide excellent services of care.
- Good working knowledge of CQC standards.
- The ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors and staffing teams.
- Good clinical skills.
- Promote ownership of care programs by fully involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing and evaluating care programs within the home.
To be considered for this position you must hold an active NMC Pin and experience in a similar position.
The successful Deputy Manager will receive an excellent salary up to £26.02 per hour and the annual salary up to £54,121.60 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours a week on days.
