An excellent new job opportunity has arisen for a talented Head Chef to work in an exceptional nursing home based in the Knutsford, Cheshire area. You will be working for one of the UK's leading health care providers. This nursing home provides a range of care services, including: nursing care, dementia care, residential care, respite care, end of life care, and convalescence care.
To be considered for this position you must have proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a similar setting.
As the Head Chef your key duties include:
- Providing nutritious and well-balanced meals for residents while ensuring a high standard of culinary excellence.
- Managing the kitchen staff, overseeing food preparation, menu planning, and maintaining compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Playing a pivotal role in staff training, ensuring a commitment to health and safety standards, and upholding a pristine and well-organised kitchen environment.
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
- Culinary degree or relevant certification.
- Knowledge of nutrition, dietary needs, and food safety regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments within the care home.

The successful Head Chef will receive an excellent salary of £16.50 per hour and the annual salary is £34,320 per annum.
