An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for an experienced Charge Nurse to work in an exceptional neurological service based in the Chigwell, Essex area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers. This is a fantastic neurological service which delivers specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions.
Responsibilities
- Delegate nursing tasks to nurses working in the unit and coordinate with other teams.
- Monitor service users' conditions and respond to changes.
- Supervise other members within the team's unit and provide guidance and support.
- Make critical decisions regarding service user assignments, staff scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Be liaison between nursing staff and other healthcare professionals, with effective communication and collaboration.
Skills and Experience
- Tracheostomy, ventilator, PEG, catheter care competent practitioner.
- Experience in leading a team within the complex neurological/respiratory care environment.
- A positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionate.
- A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice.
- Relevant experience in a similar environment.
- Proven track record of leadership skills.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position you must be qualified as an RGN with an active NMC pin and strong neuro experience at Charge Nurse/Ward Sister level. The successful Charge Nurse will receive an excellent salary of GBP 43,000 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours a week.
