A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Support Worker to work in a brand new learning disabilities care home opening soon based in the Beccles, Suffolk area. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers. This is a brand new service opening soon which specializes in supporting individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours, including those who have been previously detained under the Mental Health Act or discharged from the hospital on a Community Treatment Order.
To be considered for this position you must hold an NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care.
As a Support Worker your key duties include:
- Be an essential part of the team, promoting the well-being and providing the highest quality of care to residents.
- Assist with daily tasks, inclusive of all personal care assistance from supporting with personal hygiene, through to days out and companionship.
- Encourage independence, well-being and supporting vulnerable individuals with their daily routines and activities.
- Ensure accurate record keeping at all times.
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
- Proven experience of working in a care setting.
- A good team player.
- Have a genuine desire to care for others.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
The successful Support Worker will receive an excellent salary of £12.60 per hour and the annual salary is £23,587.20 per annum.
