A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to work in an exceptional rehabilitation service based in the Widnes, Cheshire area. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading health care providers. This is a state-of-the-art facility which has two areas: a locked assessment and rehabilitation for women with complex mental health needs and personality difficulties.
To be considered for this position you must have an MRCPsychiatry or equivalent with full GMC registration.
As the Consultant Psychiatrist, your key responsibilities include:
- Ensure that people admitted are assessed, treated, and discharged safely
- Quality assurance, complaints and co-production
- Delivery of NICE guidance
- Lead and manage the CPA and ICR process to ensure full compliance with quality standards
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
- Be innovative and imaginative with the ability to initiate corporate decisions
- Have essential understanding of current developments in psychiatry and other aspects of mental health
- Substantial knowledge of change management, relevant legislation, contemporary issues in mental health, knowledge of and experience in purchaser/provider contractual issues
- Previous Consultant experience
