The predicted salary is between 72000 - 108000 £ per year.

An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a committed Consultant Psychiatrist to work in an exceptional hospital service based in the Newark, Nottinghamshire area. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading health care providers. This service is a purpose-built low secure hospital which offers personalised assessment and recovery-based treatment pathways, including a trauma specific pathway, for women with complex care needs.

To be considered for this position you must hold a Full GMC Registration.

As the Consultant Psychiatrist your key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that people admitted are assessed, treated, and discharged safely
  • Quality assurance, complaints and co-production
  • Delivery of NICE guidance
  • Lead and manage the CPA and ICR process to ensure full compliance with quality standards

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

  • Be innovative and imaginative with the ability to initiate corporate decisions
  • Have essential understanding of current developments in psychiatry and other aspects of mental health
  • Substantial knowledge of change management, relevant legislation, contemporary issues in mental health, knowledge of and experience in purchaser/provider contractual issues
  • Previous Consultant experience
