Jupiter Artland is an award-winning contemporary sculpture park and charitable foundation located just outside Edinburgh.

Set across 120 acres of meadow, woodland and indoor gallery spaces, it presents a significant collection of permanent site-specific commissions alongside seasonal exhibitions, public programmes and events including Jupiter Rising.

Every visit supports the work of the Jupiter Artland Learning Foundation, which delivers free creative learning for schools and young people across Scotland.

Alongside its programme on site, Jupiter+ extends the organisation’s reach through exhibitions, residencies and youth activity across Scotland.

The Role

We’re looking for a proactive, commercially-mindedSalesManager to lead the growth of our event space hire business. This role sits outside our charitable and learning programmes and is focused purely on driving revenue through the sale of Jupiter Artland’s venues for private and corporate hire.

You’ll own thesalespipeline end to end – from generating enquiries and pitching our spaces, to negotiating terms and converting bookings, while working closely with our operations and events delivery team to ensure every client experience reflects the quality of the setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and approach potential clients across the wedding, corporate, and private event markets
  • Respond promptly and persuasively to inbound enquiries, converting interest into confirmed bookings
  • Develop and maintain a healthysalespipeline, tracking enquiries through to contract
  • Meet and exceed agreed revenue targets for event space hire
  • Develop relationships with destination management companies and corporate event agencies
  • Generate repeat business through account management
  • Attend networking events and represent the organisation commercially, as well as assist with our own events at Jupiter Artland

Client relationships

  • Conduct engaging show-rounds of the venues and grounds for prospective clients
  • Build strong relationships with event planners, corporate booking agents, and wedding suppliers to generate repeat and referral business
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients during thesalesand booking process, handing over smoothly to the delivery team once confirmed
  • Work with the marketing team to ensure event space offerings are well represented online and insalesmaterials
  • Keep pricing, packages, and availability information current and competitive
  • Represent Jupiter Artland at relevant wedding fairs, corporate networking events, and industry showcases

Reporting & administration

  • Maintain accurate records of enquiries, bookings, and revenue in the booking/CRM system
  • Provide regularsalesperformance reports to the COO
  • Contribute to setting and reviewing annual event spacesalestargets

About You

  • Proven experience in asalesrole, ideally within events, hospitality, weddings, or venue hire
  • A confident, personable communicator who can build rapport quickly and close a sale
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple live enquiries at once
  • Comfortable working independently and setting your own priorities within a part-time schedule
  • A genuine appreciation for Jupiter Artland’s setting and the ability to sell its unique character authenticably
  • Flexibility to attend occasional evening or weekend show-rounds and events
  • Full UK driving licence desirable, as the venue is located outside the city centre

Experience working with – (Ideal but not essential)

  • Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • SharePoint document management and internal coordination workflows
  • CRM and membership database communications
