An established IVD supplier is hiring a Senior Territory Manager for its largest and highest value UK territory. This is the flagship patch. London and the Home Counties, running east through Essex and Suffolk into East Anglia, west towards Oxford and south to the Sussex coast. It is a well managed territory with existing revenue and long standing accounts behind it. The portfolio spans molecular, microbiology and immunoassay, alongside the instrumentation that runs them, sold into NHS trusts, pathology networks and private laboratories. There is strong technical and applications support behind you, and an expanding range with new product coming to market.
About the Role
The senior element is real. Alongside the territory you will have the opporunity to mentor and support developing territory managers, particularly those who have come into field sales from a laboratory background.
Responsibilities
- Owning and growing the key accounts across the region, including complex NHS tenders and managed service proposals
- Building and executing the territory plan, with accurate pipeline and account records
- Driving adoption of newly introduced product lines and instrumentation
- Representing the business at clinical congresses, exhibitions and regional laboratory meetings
- Opportunity of coaching and supporting newer members of the field team
Qualifications
- A proven field sales record in clinical diagnostics, IVD or laboratory products, managing a multi million pound territory
- Solid working knowledge of clinical laboratories, ideally molecular, microbiology, pathology or haematology
- Experience navigating NHS procurement, pathology networks and lab management through long sales cycles
- The maturity and credibility to mentor others
- Based in or around London or the South East, with a full UK driving licence
Pay range and compensation package
Competitive base with circa 20% uncapped bonus, company car, contributory pension and death in service cover.
