Company Overview
I am extremely proud to be partnering with a forward-thinking B2C insurance group that is scaling quickly and putting technology at the heart of its growth. This small but growing business operates with high-volume B2C insurance products, so experience within Insurance, InsurTech, or FinTech, with high volume B2C platforms, is essential.
Role Overview
As the Head of Technology, you will lead a small IT function in a hands-on capacity, working closely with the IT Manager and the wider team. You will quickly establish a positive working relationship with key vendors, and work closely with their dedicated external team who are responsible for developing B2C customer platforms and internal solutions, to ensure new ideas and innovations are delivered effectively whilst maintaining BAU. You will be part of the senior leadership team and will be a key voice within the business, supporting the wider objectives with an IT strategy that aligns to both short-term and long-term goals. Reporting to the COO, you will be confident in bringing new ideas and technologies into view, making suggestions where appropriate to continuously improve the business operations and customer experience. This role is part strategic, part hands-on — ideal for someone who thrives in agile, fast-paced environments, who can communicate clearly and confidently at all levels of the business. You will attend senior leadership team meetings once a week in London and will attend other London based team days as required. You will be comfortable discussing strategy and innovation with the SLT one day, then delving into the tech with the IT team and third parties the next.
