About Juno Bio
Juno Bio is a direct-to-consumer vaginal health company helping women understand their microbiome through at-home testing. We're on a mission to make complex science accessible, trustworthy, and genuinely useful for everyday people.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a scientifically qualified freelancer to review our existing library of blog and educational articles. This is a one-off project, paid per article, and can be done entirely on your own schedule; we just need accuracy, clarity, and scientific rigour. This is a great fit for a PhD researcher, clinician, or postdoc who wants flexible, meaningful work outside the lab or clinic.
What You'll Be Doing
- Reviewing existing blog and educational articles for scientific accuracy
- Flagging any claims that are overstated, outdated, or unsupported by current evidence
- Suggesting corrections or alternative phrasing where needed
- Noting where citations are missing or could be stronger
What We're Looking For
- A PhD or MD in a relevant field: microbiology, gynaecology, reproductive health, immunology, or related life sciences
- Comfort reading and evaluating primary research literature
- An eye for how science is communicated to a lay audience, not just whether it's technically correct
- Reliable, timely turnaround and clear written feedback
Nice to Have
- Experience in science communication, medical writing, or health content
- Familiarity with the vaginal microbiome literature
- Previous freelance or consultancy experience
The Details
- Remote, flexible, work around your existing commitments
- Paid per article at a competitive rate
- One-off project with potential for an ongoing relationship as we publish new content
