Junkem Bio also produces enzyme extracts for food applications, organic acids, and other bioengineered products, providing sustainable solutions across multiple industries.

Role Description

The Supply Chain Developer is a full-time, UK based, focused on building and optimizing supply chain processes for Junkem Bio’s bio-based products and feedstocks.

This role involves mapping and improving end-to-end supply chain workflows, including sourcing of raw materials, inventory management, production planning, and distribution to partners and customers.

The Supply Chain Developer will analyze demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and logistics data to design scalable, cost-effective, and sustainable supply chain models.

Daily tasks include collaborating with operations, bioprocessing, and commercial teams, configuring supply chain tools and dashboards, and defining KPIs to monitor performance and ensure reliability.

The role also supports vendor management, documentation of procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the company’s circular economy and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

  • Experience in supply chain design and optimization, including demand planning, inventory management, and logistics coordination.
  • Strong analytical and data skills, with proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and basic supply chain or ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing or bioprocess operations, preferably within biotechnology, food, chemicals, or related industries.
  • Ability to document and improve processes, create workflows and SOPs, and support implementation of digital tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Food Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with technical, operations, and commercial teams.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, growing environment.
  • Interest in sustainability, circular economy, and waste-to-value solutions; previous experience in these areas is an advantage.
  • Professional working proficiency in English and Spanish.
