Are you passionate about supporting young people to achieve their goals and progress into employment, further education, or apprenticeships? We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Vocational & Childcare Tutor to join our Wolverhampton centre on a full-time maternity cover basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners in developing vocational skills, employability, and childcare knowledge within a positive and engaging learning environment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to learners studying vocational and childcare-related programmes. You will help learners build confidence, develop essential skills, and achieve positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering engaging vocational and childcare sessions
- Supporting learners to achieve qualifications and personal targets
- Embedding employability, maths, English and personal development into delivery
- Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate records
- Providing pastoral support and motivation to learners
- Contributing to a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about education and supporting young people
- Experienced in delivering vocational and/or childcare training
- Able to engage and motivate learners with varying needs and abilities
- Organised, proactive and able to manage learner progress effectively
- Confident working both independently and as part of a team
Essential Requirements
- Experience delivering vocational and/or childcare qualifications
- A relevant vocational qualification in Childcare or related subject
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Experience working with young people
Desirable
- Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Experience delivering Functional Skills or employability
- Experience within alternative provision or post-16 education
