Location: Remote with travel across North West (and Wolverhampton for meetings/training)
As a Skills Coach, you will deliver dynamic and effective training sessions to Early Years and Business Admin apprentices both in group settings and on a one-to-one basis. You'll support learners through every stage of their apprenticeship journey, from induction through to completion, ensuring excellent attendance, retention, achievement, and progression. This is a rewarding opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to delivering exceptional learning experiences and helping apprentices build the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to succeed.
This role offers a blend of home-based working and travel within the North West/Manchester/North Staffs and South Yorkshire area to visit learners in their workplace, therefore candidates should be based within the North/North West. In addition, there will be a requirement to attend training sessions and team meetings in Wolverhampton and the West Midlands.
What Youβll Be Doing
- Deliver engaging training across Early Years and Business Admin apprenticeships at Level 2 & 3
- Facilitate inspiring inductions and creative, standards-aligned learning programmes.
- Support delivery in English and Maths Functional Skills up to Level 2.
- Create an inclusive, motivating environment that encourages participation and achievement.
- Manage ILPs, monitor progress and set challenging learning goals.
- Conduct initial assessments and set personalised targets.
- Assess qualifications and apprenticeship portfolios against awarding body standards.
- Provide constructive feedback and meaningful progress reviews.
- Deliver workplace visits and one-to-one coaching to support development.
- Identify and overcome barriers to learning, keeping apprentices on track.
- Drive attendance, retention and achievement.
- Build strong, positive relationships with apprentices and employers.
- Promote continuous improvement and high performance.
- Inspire learners to reach their potential and achieve their career goals.
What You Need to Bring to the Table
- Strong background in early years with business administration duties
- Experienced in delivering apprenticeship training and assessing learner portfolios.
- Passionate about teaching, learning, and learner success.
- An engaging and confident presenter with excellent communication skills.
- Knowledgeable in English and Maths Functional Skills delivery up to Level 2.
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage a varied caseload of apprentices.
- TAQA or equivalent assessor qualification
- Full driving license and access to a car, as training will take place across employer locations.
