We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Vocational & Childcare Tutor to join our Wolverhampton centre on a full-time maternity cover basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners in developing vocational skills, employability and childcare knowledge within a positive and engaging learning environment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment to learners studying vocational and childcare‑related programmes. You will help learners build confidence, develop essential skills and achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Deliver engaging vocational and childcare sessions
- Support learners to achieve qualifications and personal targets
- Embed employability, maths, English and personal development into delivery
- Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records
- Provide pastoral support and motivation to learners
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
We Are Looking For Someone Who Is:
- Passionate about education and supporting young people
- Experienced in delivering vocational and/or childcare training
- Able to engage and motivate learners with varying needs and abilities
- Organised, proactive and able to manage learner progress effectively
- Confident working both independently and as part of a team
Essential Requirements
- Experience delivering vocational and/or childcare qualifications
- A relevant vocational qualification in Childcare or related subject
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Experience working with young people
Desirable
- Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Experience delivering Functional Skills or employability
- Experience within alternative provision or post-16 education
