Level 3 Sport Lecturer

Location: Bright Star Boxing Academy, Shifnal, Telford

Contract Type: Permanent – to start late August

Salary: £26,133 per annum, 35 hours per week (Term Time Only)

Your Role as a Sports Lecturer

  • Deliver inspiring lessons: Plan and teach practical sessions and theory lessons that meet awarding body requirements and engage different learning styles.
  • Assess and track progress: Carry out formative and summative assessments, provide timely feedback and maintain accurate learner records.
  • Design practical opportunities: Develop coaching, officiating and vocational activities that build learners’ employability and technical skills.
  • Support learner development: Mentor and tutor learners, provide personalized support and signpost careers, apprenticeships and further study.
  • Safeguard and promote wellbeing: Maintain a safe learning environment and follow Juniper’s safeguarding and inclusion policies.
  • Contribute to centre life: Support open days, enrichment, work placements and external partnerships to enhance the learner experience.

What You’ll Need

  • Essential: Level 3 qualification in sport (or higher) and recent practical coaching or industry experience.
  • Essential: Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or Level 3+ in Education).
