Overview
Quality Improvement Officer – West Midlands
Location: Multi-site role across our training centres (must be willing to travel and based in the West Midlands)
Contract: Part-Time, 3 days per week – 12 Month Contract
Salary: £16,800 – £21,000 (pro-rata, depending on experience – FTE £28,000 – £35,000)

What You’ll Do
As our Quality Improvement Officer, you’ll be central to driving improvements in tutor and coach delivery. You’ll support staff development, embed high teaching standards, and ensure learners consistently receive engaging, impactful sessions that lead to success.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading initiatives to raise the quality of tutor and coach delivery across all centres
- Carrying out lesson observations and providing constructive feedback to staff
- Coaching, mentoring, and training tutors to develop their teaching practice
- Supporting Centre Leads and Lead Practitioners with staff development strategies
- Tracking staff qualifications and identifying skills gaps/training needs
- Designing resources, lesson plans, and schemes of work to model best practice
- Facilitating student and staff feedback to drive continual improvement
- Promoting safeguarding, British Values, and inclusive education throughout delivery
Essential
- Level 3/A Level in Maths and/or English
- Level 4 Teaching Qualification
- Experience teaching employability, numeracy, and literacy
- Strong understanding of teaching standards and effective delivery practices
- Positive, energetic, and solutions-focused personality
- Excellent communication, organisation, and IT skills
Desirable
- Subject specialism (e.g. Functional Skills)
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, or staff development
- Supervisory or management experience
Additional Info
This role requires regular travel to various Juniper centres, so access to transport is essential.
