About the Role: This role is all about supporting our students' well-being, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and ready to succeed. You will be the go-to person for safeguarding, attendance support, and providing guidance that empowers students to achieve their goals.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Safeguarding Superhero: Lead on all safeguarding matters, making sure every student feels safe and supported. Keep records up to date and stay informed about safeguarding legislation. Work with outside agencies to get students the help they need when they need it most.
  • Attendance Champion: Encourage students to turn up, stay engaged, and get the most from their time with us. Track attendance, follow up on absences, and ensure students stay on track. Meet with parents/guardians to tackle attendance concerns head-on.
  • Advice & Guidance Guru: Inspire students to aim high and achieve their dreams. Signpost useful resources, career advice, and support services to keep students informed and empowered.
  • Progression Pro: Work with staff to ensure every student moves on to something positive — further study, training, or a job. Keep in touch with students post-program to support their goals.

Must-Have:

  • Level 2 in English and Maths
  • Solid knowledge of safeguarding legislation
  • Experience working with 16-18-year-olds

Nice-to-Have:

  • CEIAG Level 3/4 qualification
  • Level 3 safeguarding training
  • Experience in the Education/Training sector
