Juniper House School, a new SEN school opening in Berkshire in September, is seeking a Teacher of Science who can build relationships with our young people and engage them in their education. As an experienced teacher you will understand the importance of consistency to ensure the school's pedagogy is lived, breathed and embedded within the whole school.
Responsibilities
- Teach science to students with special educational needs (SEN).
- Work with children and young people who need extra support or require an advanced programme of learning to reach their full educational potential.
- Have a small tutor group and identify individual needs, adapting to each student to work towards Educational, Health Care Plans.
- Create a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment.
- Implement and evaluate the school's pedagogy consistently across the curriculum.
Qualifications
- Experience working with SEN.
- Passion for the subject of science.
- Ability to build relationships with young people.
- Experience in creating and delivering tailored lessons and plans.
