Part-time Lead by example and help develop the minds of the next generation! At Junior Adventures Group (JAG) we are on the lookout for a happy, enthusiastic and passionate Deputy Club Manager to join our growing family. Our leaders are those who are committed to developing and nurturing other team members, as well as our children. You’ll be joining the UK’s leading provider of children’s wraparound care, offering a range of roles in our Breakfast, After School and Holiday Clubs. This adventure is all about building brighter futures together. You’ll deliver genuine, heartfelt experiences to our people and our little people by ensuring they experience fun, engaging and creative activities, in a safe and inclusive environment.
You will be responsible for assisting to manage one of our settings, supporting the Club Manager and team members at that site and ensuring the smooth running of the provision. Whether it be a school wrap‑around care or a leisure centre camp, you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of a wide range of activities, all within our ‘Whole of Child’ programming philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Manage, direct, and assist your team in delivering a fun and safe programme that keeps everyone motivated and happy.
- Make sure your team is following all policies and procedures to keep things running smoothly and safely.
- Keep the team on schedule with our clocking‑in/out system and manage any unexpected absences or late arrivals.
- Help manage the food ordering and preparation process to ensure kids are getting delicious and healthy meals.
- Join the team meetings to discuss performance, identify areas for improvement, and share your ideas to keep things fresh and exciting.
- Keep everyone in the loop with effective communication between your team, parents, schools, leisure centres, and Central Operations.
- Plan and lead exciting activities that get kids moving, thinking, and creating!
- Set up and break down the setting, keeping everything safe and clean.
- Ensure policies are followed by your team and are effectively implemented.
- Be the champion of health and safety, always ready to provide first aid if necessary.
- Take charge and step up as the Setting Manager in their absence.
- Inspire kids to develop healthy minds, bodies, and attitudes; we're creating the leaders of tomorrow.
Qualifications and Experience
- Ultimate kid‑at‑heart and have experience working with 4‑11 year olds.
- Hold an appropriate qualification in childcare, sports coaching, education or similar.
- A natural leader with experience managing small teams and working with your own initiative.
- Love creating meaningful moments for people and strive to understand their needs.
- Pro at problem‑solving and can handle feedback, complaints and manage time with ease.
- Genuinely care about people and create unexpected experiences that make them go “wow!”
- Work well under pressure and are an excellent listener who can explain anything to anyone.
- Approach tasks with a can‑do attitude, switching up priorities and thinking on your feet.
