Enthusiastic Playworker / Activity Leader required to support and deliver engaging childcare activities within a busy holiday club in Milton Keynes. We are seeking a caring, energetic and reliable individual to run our Holiday Club team, supporting children through a range of structured play, sports, games, and creative activities in a safe and inclusive environment.
Contract: Holiday Club Only (casual)
Pay: £13.80 per hour (plus holiday pay)
Working Hours: School Holidays: 07:30 – 18:00 (Monday to Friday)
Summer Dates Available: 20 July – 2 September
Please note: Applicants must be able to commit to a minimum of four full weeks during the summer holidays. Parking available onsite.

About the Role
At Junior Adventures Group, we are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Manager to lead our growing team. You will help deliver high-quality childcare in a holiday club setting, creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where children can learn, play, and develop. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, has a positive attitude, and wants to make a difference every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured and engaging activities including multi-sports, games, arts & crafts, and structured play
- Create a fun, inclusive and safe environment for children
- Support children during arrival, activities, and collection
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and company procedures at all times
- Ensure all sign-in and sign-out procedures are followed correctly
- Provide refreshments for children while maintaining hygiene standards
- Assist with setting up and packing away play areas and equipment
- Complete relevant documentation including accident and incident forms
- Communicate professionally with children, parents, colleagues, and schools
- Carry out basic equipment checks and maintain a safe environment
- Support and promote positive behaviour and engagement
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working with children (desirable)
- A positive, enthusiastic and proactive attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, responsible, and able to follow procedures
- Ability to create a fun and safe environment for children
- Energy, creativity, and a genuine passion for childcare and playwork
This role may also suit candidates with experience as a playworker, childcare assistant, activity leader, or similar role.
Additional Information
Safeguarding: This role requires compliance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education policy and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. You must provide two references, one from your most recent employer and the other from a childcare setting (if applicable). We will conduct a DBS check on your behalf, so please prepare the correct documentation. You must meet these requirements to be eligible for the hiring process.
