Responsibilities
- Plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more ensuring they are age-appropriate.
- Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies, including signing in and out processes.
- Provide refreshments for the children.

- Collaborate with the team to plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation.
- Ensure all activities are age and skill-appropriate while prioritising safety.
- Provide refreshments for the kids while maintaining high standards of hygiene and health and safety.
- Set up and pack away play spaces, moving furniture and play equipment as needed.
- Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies and keep all relevant documentation up to date.
- Ensure proper sign-in and sign-out processes and procedures are followed for all children in our care.
- Communicate professionally and authentically with team members, parents, children, and schools.
- Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks for all equipment and kit.
- Take the lead in championing health and safety, providing first aid where necessary.
- Keep all information and documents related to the children in our care confidential and secure.
- Inspire our team members and the children in our care to have fun, be active, and lead an active lifestyle.

Required:
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Reliable, responsible, and organised approach to work with meticulous attention to detail
- Genuine passion for childcare and playwork, with a positive, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude
- Ability to create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where children can thrive
- Sound understanding of health and safety principles and safeguarding requirements
- Ability to manage groups of children and promote positive behaviour
- Energy, creativity, and flexibility in approach to problem-solving
Desirable:
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare, playwork, activity leader, or similar role
- First Aid certification or willingness to undertake training
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities
- Experience in modelling positive behaviour and supporting children's emotional wellbeing
- Familiarity with holiday club or summer camp environments
