Enthusiastic Playworker / Activity Leader required to support and deliver engaging childcare activities within a busy holiday club in Bristol. We are seeking a caring, energetic and reliable individual to join our Holiday Club team, supporting children through a range of structured play, sports, games, and creative activities in a safe and inclusive environment.
Location: St Werburgh's Primary School, Bristol BS2 9US
Contract: Holiday Club Only (with potential additional wraparound care hours from September if desired)
Pay: Up to Β£12.71 per hour (plus holiday pay)
Working Hours: School Holidays: 08:30 β 17:30 (Monday to Friday)
Summer Dates Available: 20 July β 2 September
Ongoing opportunities during future school holidays (excluding Bank Holidays & weekends). Please note: Applicants must be able to commit to a minimum of three weeks during the summer holidays. Parking available onsite but limited.

About the Role
At Junior Adventures Group, we are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Playworker / Activity Leader to join our growing team. You will help deliver high-quality childcare in a holiday club setting, creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where children can learn, play, and develop. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, has a positive attitude, and wants to make a difference every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured and engaging activities including multi-sports, games, arts & crafts, and structured play
- Create a fun, inclusive and safe environment for children
- Support children during arrival, activities, and collection
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and company procedures at all times
- Ensure all sign-in and sign-out procedures are followed correctly
- Provide refreshments for children while maintaining hygiene standards
- Assist with setting up and packing away play areas and equipment
- Complete relevant documentation including accident and incident forms
- Communicate professionally with children, parents, colleagues, and schools
- Carry out basic equipment checks and maintain a safe environment
- Support and promote positive behaviour and engagement
