What does it mean to be a JAG Playworker?
Create an inclusive and fun atmosphere for the children in our care, from picking them up from school to safely delivering them back to their parents or caregivers.
Collaborate with the team to plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more.
Ensure all activities are age and skill-appropriate while prioritizing safety, including the proper use of equipment and space.
Provide refreshments for the children while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
Set up and pack away play spaces, moving furniture and play equipment as needed.
Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies, and keep all relevant documentation, including accident and incident forms, up to date and completed as needed.
Ensure proper sign-in and sign-out processes are followed for all children in our care.
Communicate professionally and authentically with team members, parents, children, and schools.
Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks for all equipment and kit.
Take the lead in championing health and safety, providing first aid where necessary.
Keep all information and documents related to the children confidential and secure.
Inspire our team members and the children in our care to have fun, be active, and lead an active lifestyle.
Hours: 20 hours per week during term time
Operational Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.00am – 9.00am & 3.00pm – 6.00pm
Pay: £13.00 per hour plus holiday pay
Contracts Available: Term Time only – plus 40 hrs per week during holiday clubs if desired
