At Junior Adventures Group (JAG), we're looking for an enthusiastic and caring Nursery Activity Leader to join our Breakfast & After School Club at Christchurch, Bradford-on-Avon.
Working with children aged 3β4 years, you'll help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where every child feels happy, supported and encouraged to explore, play and develop through exciting activities.
This is a split-shift role, working mornings and afternoons with a break in the middle of the dayβideal if you're looking for a role that fits around family life, study or other commitments.
There are also opportunities to work additional hours during our Holiday Clubs with older children aged 4-11 yrs if desired.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate activities including creative play, arts & crafts, storytelling, games, music and outdoor play.
- Create a warm, safe and welcoming environment where children can learn and develop through play.
- Supervise children throughout each session, ensuring they are happy, engaged and supported.
- Encourage children's confidence, independence and social development.
- Prepare healthy snacks and refreshments.
- Complete daily registers and ensure children are safely signed in and out.
- Set up and tidy away equipment before and after each session.
- Work closely with your team to deliver high-quality childcare.
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety and company policies at all times.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who
- Has a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Is caring, patient, enthusiastic and full of energy.
- Can create engaging and imaginative play experiences.
- Is reliable and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Has experience working with children, ideally aged 3β4 years, in childcare, education, nursery, playwork or a similar environment.
A specific Early Years qualification is not essential for this role.
