Job Title: Casual Breakfast & After School Club Playworker Start Date: ASAP Location: Park Lane Primary School, 55 School Road, Tilehurst, Reading RG31 5AS Hours: up to 22 hours per week during term time (with the opportunity to work up to 40 hrs per week during our holiday clubs if desired) Operational Hours during Term Time: 7.30 – 9.00 for Breakfast Club & 15.10 – 18.00 for After School Club (Monday to Friday) NB: we also run holiday clubs during all school holidays if you are interested. Operational Hours during Holiday Clubs: Monday to Friday – Hours 8.30 – 17.30 Pay: Up to £11.44 per hour (plus holiday pay) Contracts Available: Casual or can lead to annual fixed term or term time only What’s in it for you? * Access to 24/7 Employee Assist Programs through Health Assured. * Discounted wrap-around school care and holiday club (if you have little ones). * Rewards for recommending your family and friends to come and join the family. * Paid training and regular personal and professional development. * No weekend working. * Family friendly hours Responsibilities: * Plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more ensuring they are age-appropriate. * Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies, including signing in and out processes. * Provide refreshments for the children. So, what does it mean to be a JAG Playworker? * Create an inclusive and fun atmosphere for the children in our care, from picking them up from school to safely delivering them back to their parents or caregivers. * Collaborate with the team to plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more. * Ensure all activities are age and skill-appropriate while prioritizing safety, including the proper use of equipment and space. * Provide refreshments for the kids while maintaining our high standards of hygiene and health and safety. * Set up and pack away play spaces, moving furniture and play equipment as needed. * Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies and keep all relevant documentation, including accident and incident forms, up to date and completed as needed. * Ensure proper sign-in and sign-out processes and procedures are followed for all children in our care. * Communicate professionally and authentically with team members, parents, children, and schools. • Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks for all equipment and kit. * Take the lead in championing health and safety, providing first aid where necessary. * Keep all information and documents related to the children in our care confidential and secure. * Inspire our team members and the children in our care to have fun, be active, and lead an active lifestyle.
