Do you enjoy working with children and creating fun, engaging experiences? We're looking for an enthusiastic and caring Playworker / Activity Leader to join our Breakfast & After School Club team at Eastbury Farm Primary School. This is a fantastic opportunity to help create a safe, welcoming, and exciting environment where children can learn, play, and develop through a variety of activities including sports, games, arts & crafts, and structured play. No two days are the same, and every day is an opportunity to make a positive impact.
Monday to Friday:
- Breakfast Club: 07:30 – 08:45
- After School Club: 15:15 – 18:00
20 contracted hours per week.
About the Role:

As a Playworker, you'll help deliver engaging activities, encourage participation, and create a fun, inclusive environment where every child feels safe, supported, and valued. This role is ideal for someone who is energetic, creative, and passionate about working with children.
- Plan and deliver engaging activities including sports, games, arts & crafts, and structured play.
- Create a fun, inclusive, and safe environment for children.
- Support children during arrivals, activities, and collection times.
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and company procedures at all times.
- Ensure all sign-in and sign-out procedures are completed correctly.
- Prepare and provide refreshments while maintaining high hygiene standards.
- Assist with setting up and packing away equipment and activity areas.
- Complete accident, incident, and activity records where required.
- Communicate professionally with children, parents, colleagues, and school staff.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage participation and engagement.

- Previous experience working with children (desirable).
- A positive, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to follow procedures.
- The ability to create a fun and safe environment for children.
