At Junior Adventures Group (JAG), we’re looking for an enthusiastic Activity Leader / Playworker to help create unforgettable experiences for children aged 4–11 before and after the school day. From football and team games to arts & crafts, creative challenges, and structured play, every day is packed with fun, laughter, and opportunities to make a real difference.

Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday | Term Time Only
- Breakfast Club: 07:30 – 08:35
- After School Club: 15:15 – 18:00
- Total contracted hours: 19 hours 10 minutes per week
This is a split‑shift role, giving you the middle of the day free for family commitments, study, hobbies, or simply some well‑earned downtime. There may also be opportunities to work additional hours during school holidays through our Holiday Club provision.
About the Role:
As an Activity Leader / Playworker, you’ll help create a safe, exciting, and inclusive environment where children can learn, play, and thrive. Working alongside a friendly and supportive team, you’ll deliver engaging activities that encourage creativity, confidence, teamwork, and plenty of smiles. No two days are ever the same!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver exciting, age‑appropriate activities including multi‑sports, arts & crafts, games, and creative play
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive
- Supervise and engage children with enthusiasm and care
- Set up and tidy away equipment and activity areas
- Prepare healthy snacks and refreshments
- Complete sign‑in and sign‑out procedures accurately
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and company policies at all times
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outstanding childcare experiences

Experience We’d Love to See:
Experience is welcome but not essential. We’d love to hear from candidates with backgrounds in:
- Playwork
- Sports coaching
- Teaching assistant roles
- Youth work
- Drama, dance, or performing arts
- Education
- Holiday camps

This role requires compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Successful applicants will be required to:
