Support worker for Activity Leader in the childcare industry. £12.71 per hour. Location: Wallace Fields Primary School, Epsom. Contract Type: Casual contract. Hours: Split shift - 7.30am - 9.00am and 3.00pm - 6.00pm Monday to Friday.

Applicants must have prior experience as a Support Worker and experience working with children. This adventure is all about building brighter futures together. You will support the delivery of purposeful activities with our little people, whilst embracing and bringing our ‘Whole of Child’ programming philosophy to life. Whether it be multi‑sports, games, arts & crafts, downtime or structured play, you’ll be engaging, safe and inspiring to every child you interact with. You’ll be every child’s hero!

This role is a dedicated support position, assigned to a specific club and team member. The primary focus of the role is to provide practical, hands‑on support to enable the effective delivery of activities and day‑to‑day operations within that setting.

Job Description
  • Provide inclusive, fun, and engaging care for the children, including collecting them from school and safely handing over to parents/carers.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of activities with structure and enthusiasm; encouraging maximum participation.
  • Ensure all activities are age and ability appropriate while using equipment and space safely.
  • Provide refreshments for the children, ensuring hygiene and Health & Safety standards are met.
  • Provide practical, hands‑on support to enable the effective delivery of activities within the club.
  • Carry out tasks requiring physical involvement, such as setting up, moving and packing away equipment and resources.
  • Support the safe and smooth running of sessions by assisting with all physical aspects of the role.
  • Work closely with the assigned team member and wider team to ensure activities are delivered effectively.
  • Set up and take down the play space, including moving furniture and equipment.
  • Follow all Health and Safety protocols and ensure relevant documentation is completed.
  • Ensure all children are signed in and out correctly.
  • Communicate professionally with team members, parents, children and schools.
  • Conduct equipment checks and maintenance.
  • Provide first aid where necessary.
  • Ensure all information relating to children is kept confidential and secure.
