Breakfast Club and Afterschool Wraparound - Activity Leader
Location: Halsford Park Primary School, East Grinstead
Hours: Monday to Friday 6.45am - 9.00am and 2.45pm - 6.30pm (split shift), 30 hours per week.
Pay: Up to £12.71
Contract: Term Time contract, starting September 2026

Join our team as a Childcare Activity Leader and turn ordinary mornings and afternoons into unforgettable adventures! At Junior Adventures Group, we’re not just childcare, we’re champions of fun! From football to face painting, scavenger hunts to snack time, you'll bring smiles, laughter, and energy to our Breakfast & After School Clubs for children aged 4–11.
This role is split shift, meaning you’ll work mornings and afternoons with a break in between. You’ll also have the opportunity to increase your hours during Holiday Club seasons and Lunchtime Cover.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
- Deliver exciting, age‑appropriate activities such as multi‑sports, arts & crafts, group games, and creative play.
- Set up engaging play spaces and keep them safe, clean and welcoming.
- Supervise children with care and enthusiasm, ensuring every child feels welcome, safe and included.
- Prepare snacks and manage sign‑in/out processes with a friendly face and attention to detail.
- Work split shifts: 7:30–9:00am and 3:00–6:00pm, suitable for a flexible schedule.
- Be a team player who can also take the lead when needed.

What we’re looking for
- Someone who loves working with children and brings a positive, can‑do attitude
- A creative thinker who knows how to turn an ordinary afternoon into a magical experience
- Team player who is also confident in running activities and managing a group
- Bonus points for experience in teaching, coaching, childcare or youth work (personality is valued)
Compliance & Requirements
This role requires compliance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education policy and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. You must provide two references, one from your most recent employer and the other from a childcare setting (if applicable). A DBS check will be conducted on your behalf; please prepare the correct documentation.
