Overview

Location: Holy Cross, Cuverley Road, Catford London, SE6 3LD

Operational Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 8:45am; 3:15pm - 6:00pm

Pay: Up to £15

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more, ensuring they are age-appropriate.
  • Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies, including signing in and out processes.
  • Provide refreshments for the children.
  • Create an inclusive and fun atmosphere for the children in our care, from picking them up from school to safely delivering them back to their parents or caregivers.
  • Collaborate with the team to plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation.
  • Ensure all activities are age and skill-appropriate while prioritising safety, including the proper use of equipment and space.
  • Set up and pack away play spaces, moving furniture and play equipment as needed.
  • Keep all relevant documentation, including accident and incident forms, up to date and completed as needed.
  • Communicate professionally and authentically with team members, parents, children, and schools.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks for all equipment and kit.
  • Take the lead in championing health and safety, providing first aid where necessary.
  • Keep all information and documents related to the children in our care confidential and secure.
  • Inspire our team members and the children in our care to have fun, be active, and lead an active lifestyle.

Requirements

  • This role requires compliance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) policy and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
  • You must provide two references, one from your most recent employer and the other from a childcare setting (if applicable).
  • We will conduct a DBS check on your behalf; please prepare the correct documentation.
  • Meet the requirements to be eligible for the hiring process.
