About the Role

Every day is different! You'll help create a fun, safe and welcoming environment where children aged 4–11 can play, relax and enjoy a wide range of exciting activities before and after school. Our school has a high number of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), so experience supporting children with additional needs would be an advantage. However, a caring attitude, patience and willingness to learn are just as important.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver fun and engaging activities including sports, arts & crafts, games and creative play.
  • Create a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment where every child feels valued.
  • Support children throughout club sessions, encouraging confidence, friendships and independence.
  • Prepare healthy snacks and refreshments.
  • Complete registers and ensure children are signed in and out safely.
  • Set up and tidy away equipment each session.
  • Work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality childcare.
  • Follow safeguarding, health & safety and company policies at all times.

What We're Looking For

  • A positive, enthusiastic and caring approach.
  • A genuine passion for working with children.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliability and flexibility to work casual shifts when required.
  • Experience in childcare, education, coaching, youth work or playwork is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience supporting children with SEN is welcomed but not essential, as training and support will be provided.

What's in it for You?

  • Competitive hourly pay.
  • Flexible casual working to fit around your commitments.
  • Paid training and ongoing professional development.
  • 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme through Health Assured.
  • Discounted childcare (where applicable).
  • A fun, supportive and welcoming team environment.
  • The opportunity to make a real difference in children's lives every day.
