We’re looking for a strategic, socially obsessed and operationally brilliant Social Media Lead to join Jungle.

This is a pivotal role in the agency. You will own the shape and standard of our social output, ensuring our work is smarter, sharper and more effective. You’ll raise the quality of delivery, strengthen the thinking behind the work, and make data a central part of our content engine. You will sit at the centre of how great social gets made, building the right structures, sharpening the right behaviours, and creating the conditions for teams to do their best work. This role is for someone who knows best‑in‑class social is built on judgement, rigour, curiosity and a deep understanding of how platforms, audiences and ideas move. You’ll bring these traits in abundance while helping the wider team level up in the process.

Job Requirements

  • Significant experience leading social media work in an agency, publisher or social‑first environment
  • Deep understanding of platform behaviour, audience dynamics and what drives performance across organic and paid social
  • Strong strategic instincts, with the ability to turn data, trends and insight into clear social direction
  • Proven experience improving output through better process, stronger structure and smarter ways of working
  • Excellent editorial and creative judgement, with a clear sense of what makes social cut through
  • Strong grasp of reporting and performance analysis, with the ability to translate findings into action
  • Experience managing multiple clients, stakeholders and work streams in a fast‑moving environment
  • Experience mentoring and developing talent within a social team
  • Strong understanding of how to create scalable, repeatable systems that improve both quality and efficiency

Job Responsibilities

  • Social Leadership & Output
    • Own the standard of social output across the agency, ensuring work is sharp, platform‑native and built to perform
    • Set the bar for what great social looks like across both organic and paid
    • Guide teams towards smarter, more distinctive recommendations and stronger platform thinking
    • Provide clear feedback and direction on content, channel approach, editorial planning and execution
    • Help move teams beyond delivery for delivery’s sake and towards work with stronger intent, craft and impact
  • Process & Structure
    • Build and refine processes that make strong social easier to deliver consistently
    • Create clearer structures around planning, approvals, feedback loops and quality control
    • Identify where ways of working need tightening and implement smarter, more effective solutions
    • Help teams prioritise better, work more efficiently and stay focused on the work that matters most
    • Ensure our social delivery model can scale without losing edge or quality
  • Team Leadership & Enablement
    • Support and develop the social team, raising confidence, capability and craft
    • Create clarity around standards, expectations and responsibilities
    • Give teams the frameworks, tools and support they need to do brilliant work
    • Act as a senior point of guidance for troubleshooting, escalation and problem solving
    • Foster a culture of curiosity, accountability and continuous improvement
  • Client & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with strategy, creative, production and client services to strengthen the agency’s social offer
    • Bring senior social leadership into client conversations, helping shape direction and build trust
    • Ensure social thinking is embedded from the start, not bolted on at the end
    • Support account growth by identifying opportunities to improve work and deepen partnerships
    • Champion social‑first thinking across the agency and help make Jungle’s point of view impossible to ignore
