We are looking for a Junior Writer who can create engaging and informative article content for our online communities. The Junior Writer will be responsible for producing content for our flagship entertainment brand, VT, as well as our female-focused brand Four Nine. The ideal candidate will possess a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn how to spot article ideas destined for viral success. This role is most suited to a candidate who is passionate about online editorial, including (but not limited to) celebrity news, film and television, current affairs, and pop culture.
Job Requirements
- Graduate with a Journalism degree or a related subject
- Knowledge of world events, pop culture, and the news agenda - preferably US politics
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of internet culture, trends, and what gets people talking
Bonus Points
- Experience writing for websites, particularly entertainment news
- Knowledge of SEO and how social media works
- Previous experience using CMS
