The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our Customer Service Engineering team to cover the area. You will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and preparation of Jungheinrich and other brand materials handling equipment, working to company quality and productivity standards. This includes:
- Accurately diagnosing incoming work and ensuring required parts are ordered and fitted
- Carrying out repairs, modifications, rental preparation, and PDI's using company systems (e.g., JETI)
- Completing all work to agreed quality and time standards
- Producing accurate inspection and defect reports
- Managing and ordering parts and sub‑contract services when required
- Updating company records and documentation using a company laptop
- Observing and maintaining excellent health & safety and housekeeping standards
- Occasional site visits where required
- Supporting modification control activities (e.g., capacity plates)
- Liaising professionally with internal stakeholders and support departments

Person Specification
This position is ideal for mechanically or electrically biased engineers from any maintenance or service background-particularly:
- General automotive technicians
- HGV engineers
- Mobile plant engineers
- Forklift engineers
- Ex‑forces/military vehicle engineers
Given the nature of the role, the ideal candidate will:
- Hold a full driving licence
- Have experience working in a customer‑facing environment
- Be comfortable working unsupervised
- Possess good literacy, numeracy, and basic computer skills
- Have an engineering background or an engineering apprenticeship/vocational qualification
- Be physically fit (Desirable)
- Have materials handling experience
