Roles

All roles on our generalist stream are unsurprisingly generalist in nature. Regardless of the job title (Ops, Founder’s Associate, Commercial Associate etc.), you’ll typically work closely with the founder on high-profile strategic projects.

Progression is often rapid and how you progress your career depends on where you want to go. Our alumni have gone on to more senior roles including Chief of Staff, Head of Growth and Product Manager.

How does it work?

• Apply to Jumpstart – Apply in 30 seconds. You’ll be invited to a short virtual interview and if successful, you’ll be onboarded onto our generalist stream.
• Top founders pitch their roles to you – every fortnight, you\’ll get access to 25+ top startup generalist roles, all pitched to you by founders (via pre-recorded videos) so you can get a sense of whether a role is a good fit for you.
• Startups connect with you – apply to your favourite roles every fortnight AND have startups apply to you (at any point!) for roles they think you’re perfect for.
• Support to nail your interviews – access comprehensive training guides, receive individual interview support and chat to Jumpstart alumni about their interview advice. You’ll have everything you need to land your dream role.
• Join “the best startup community in London” – once you land a role, you’ll join the Jumpstart community for access to everything you need to grow — think mentorship, events, training, socials and more.

On average, it takes ≈4 weeks to receive an offer and you can participate in the programme whilst in full-time work.

Who are we looking for?

• Proactive recent grad – founded a side hustle at uni? The president of a uni society? Been involved in a bunch of startup activities? You’re a perfect fit for Jumpstart!
• Corporate experience (~1-3 years) – gained some corporate experience but now looking for a career that allows you to have an impact? A startup is the perfect place for you. Lots of our alumni started their careers in consulting, finance or similar.
• Startup or scaleup experience (~1-3 years) – already got some startup or scaleup experience and looking for the next move? We’ll help you find a high-growth generalist role.

More importantly, we want to know about your side hustles (failed or successful!), extracurriculars & motivations to work in a startup.
