Production Reliability Engineer, Direct Trading

Jump’s Client Market Making business provides clients with direct access to our liquidity across a wide range of asset classes in all market conditions. Leveraging our proprietary pricing platform, we deliver fully customizable and disclosed liquidity solutions designed to meet the unique needs of each of our clients.

As a Production Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical support of our platforms during European hours, including daily start-up of the US trading platform. You will work with developers to build new tools and design and implement new features to enhance the testing and deployment processes that will increase the operational reliability and scalability of our platforms.

What you\’ll do:

• Deploy and support client market making systems on Linux while leveraging technologies such as Kubernetes.
• Manage the lifecycle of software components, including configuration, deployment, and monitoring.
• Provide front-line response to incidents, outages, and complex technical issues.
• Develop and enhance tools for configuration management, automation, and observability.
• Support trading teams with counterparty onboarding, conformance, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with developers to design and implement trading system features.
• Participate in the design, network planning and build-out of system colocation deployments.
• Contribute to the long-term roadmap for system capacity, tools, and feature development.
• Other duties as assigned or needed

Skills you\’ll need:

• Significant experience supporting a production trading environment, including trading counterparties.
• Detail-oriented approach to operations, incident management, and troubleshooting.
• Strong Python and/or Go scripting skills; familiarity with C++, REST, and gRPC.
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Git) and FIX protocol.
• Advanced Linux and network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, multicast) with knowledge of high-availability techniques.
• Experience with load balancing solutions (e.g., HAProxy) and disaster recovery planning.
• Flexible to work as part of a global team, including occasional collaboration outside of core hours.
