ROLE: We are seeking a passionate Vice-President (VP) who is responsible for driving all sales and account management functions; ensuring that highly productive relationships and partnerships are maintained with clients. The VP will develop a high caliber insurance sales team (personal and commercial) that will be responsible for building a robust prospect funnel, and will hold overall responsibility for account management, including current and new accounts. The VP will be responsible for sales growth and forward-thinking strategies that ensure profitable growth and business flow.

Experience, Education, Designation:
- Proven leadership and insurance sales experience (15+ years) including strong knowledge of the Canadian insurance industry (personal and commercial) with a proven track record in risk management.
- A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is considered an asset.
- Designations - current or working towards: Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP), Advanced Chartered Insurance Professional (ACIP), Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP), Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB), Canadian Risk Management (CRM).
Key Functions and Competencies:
- Lead, develop and execute business growth strategies that align with the company's financial objectives, taking into consideration market and industry trends.
- Drive all sales goals and objectives across the team, including the preparation of sales quotas and budgets.
- Establish competitive market intelligence so team members can leverage advantages in the marketplace.
- Work with Account Management on current and new account growth opportunities.
- Collaborative leader who provides professional development paths, mentorship, coaching, and feedback to team members.
- Oversee employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Regularly review and refine guidelines and procedures to ensure operational efficiency including compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Strengthen the Steers brand by marketing at trade shows, events, and taking part in professional organizations.
- The ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and discuss with the team and clients in a meaningful way.
- Create comprehensive risk management strategies for clients through analysis and risk exposure knowledge.
- High energy level and positive attitude coupled with flexibility and resilience.
- Keep initiatives moving and ensure the team is action-oriented and deliver results.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills and abilities.
