You will provide day to day care, direction and support to young people who may display challenging and disruptive behaviours, emotional and social difficulties. Working within a supportive therapeutic environment you will be part of a team dedicated to caring for young people with compassion and a commitment to positive relationships.

Position summary:

  • Actively safeguard and promote the welfare of the children and young people in care.
  • To provide high quality child care practice, within our clients Philosophy of Care, underpinned by a Person-Centred Values therapeutic approach, across all residential homes.
  • To support the Registered Home Manager to ensure that a warm, nurturing, accepting therapeutic environment is evidenced, delivered and developed in accordance with the Company’s core values.

Requirements:

  • Ability to interact with a range of people/young people.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • To be able to provide consistency of care and support to the young people.
  • A desire to work with children who may display challenging behaviour.
  • Commitment to working with children who may be at risk of Child Sexual Exploitation.
  • Shift work including weekends on a rota system.
  • Full Driving Licence is essential.
  • All posts are subject to Enhanced Disclosure Procedures.
