Jump Lane recruitment are looking for Residential Support Workers across the Blackpool area. You will provide day to day care, direction and support to young people who may display challenging and disruptive behaviours, emotional and social difficulties. Working within a supportive therapeutic environment you will be part of a team dedicated to caring for young people with compassion and a commitment to positive relationships.

Position summary:

  • Actively safeguard and promote the welfare of the children and young people in care.
  • To provide high quality child care practice across all residential homes.
  • To support the Registered Home Manager to ensure that a warm, nurturing, accepting therapeutic environment is evidenced, delivered and developed in accordance with the Company’s core values.

Requirements:

  • Ability to interact with a range of people/young people.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • To be able to provide consistency of care and support to the young people.
  • A desire to work with children who may display challenging behaviour.
  • Commitment to working with children who may be at risk of Child Sexual Exploitation.
  • Shift work including weekends, evenings & sleep in duties on a rota system.
  • Full Driving Licence is essential.
  • All posts are subject to Enhanced Disclosure Procedures.
