Jump Lane Recruitment are working with one of the North West’s leading quality care providers for children and young people with emotional, behavioural and social difficulties. We are currently looking for a Registered Home Manager for a 6 bedded EBD provision for boys (ages 11-16) in the Blackpool area.
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the home, ensuring compliance with all legislation as a minimum, leading a team of care workers and liaising with all stakeholders to ensure a consistent, cohesive and effective approach. This is a challenging but rewarding role, balancing the needs of individual children with a wide range of responsibilities from financial management, quality assurance and recruitment to liaison with external stakeholders.
Main Purpose of the role:- To ensure that the home meets the standards and expectations of its Statement of Purpose
- To safeguard and promote the welfare of children and to ensure that the quality of care is consistent with National minimum standards
- To establish and maintain an excellent, motivated and competent team of staff and support them at all levels
- To be responsible and in charge of all child protection cases
- To liaise with Local Authorities and other professionals
- NVQ5 is essential
- Driving License
- Childcare legislation and Child protection knowledge
- Understanding needs of BESD Children
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour
- 2 years recent experience working with children
- At least 1 year at senior level in residential care
- Professional Care Qualification (DipSW, CMS, CQSW, Registered Manager’s Award)
