Working alongside our senior pastry chefs, you will support the creation, preparation and presentation of an exceptional range of pastries, desserts and baked goods, combining precision and creativity while maintaining the highest standards of taste, quality and presentation. What you will Receive • Complimentary meals on duty • Ongoing training and development, monthly social events and recognition programmes • Extra holiday for significant birthdays, One-and-a-half times pay for bank holiday work an double pay on Christmas Day and New Year's Day • Taxi home up to £35 when finishing after 1:00am • After three months - Season ticket loans, dental cashbacks, Specsavers support for VDU users plus a one-night Live Your Guest Life stay • After six months - Cycle to Work Scheme, reduced colleague rates across Jumeirah hotels globally and internal transfer opportunities The Role • Support the preparation of ingredients, pastry components and recipes, ensuring established standards are consistently maintained. • Prepare and cook pastries, desserts and baked goods, monitoring temperatures and cooking times to achieve exceptional results. • Support the finishing, decorating and presentation of pastries, using glazes, garnishes and other techniques to create visually impressive products. • Maintain high standards of quality control, including the taste, texture, consistency and presentation of all pastry products. • Support stock rotation, ingredient replenishment and inventory control to ensure the pastry kitchen is prepared for daily production. • Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation, food safety and hygiene. • Collaborate with senior pastry chefs on menu development, contributing ideas for new desserts, flavour combinations and creative presentations. • Support accurate recipe documentation, including ingredient measurements, preparation methods and cooking times • Support and develop colleagues within the pastry team • Continue to develop your own pastry skills and techniques through training and hands-on About you • 3–5 years' experience within a pastry kitchen or bakery, with a strong focus on the creation and preparation of pastries • A strong understanding of pastry preparation, baking techniques and presentation. • A passion for pastry and desserts, with creativity and an excellent eye for detail. • The ability to consistently deliver high standards of taste, texture, quality and presentation. • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively alongside colleagues Shift Patterns Full flexibility is required from all employees, and our culinary team work a minimum of 48 hours per week.
