About the Job

An opportunity has arisen for a Valet Attendant to join us at Jumeirah Carlton Tower. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Operate and maintain dry cleaning machinery and equipment, including dry cleaning machines, pressing equipment, and stain removal tools, ensuring efficient and effective cleaning processes.
  • Handle guests' garments with care, applying appropriate dry-cleaning techniques and treatments to ensure high-quality results and preservation of garment fabrics and colours.
  • Identify and treat stains or spots on garments using specialized cleaning agents and techniques, ensuring that stains are removed effectively without damaging the fabric.
  • Inspect garments before and after cleaning to ensure they meet the hotel's quality standards, checking for any damage, imperfections, or missed spots that require attention.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing guests' special requests, inquiries, and concerns related to their dry-cleaning needs, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory of dry-cleaning supplies, including solvents, detergents, and other cleaning agents, ensuring that stock levels are maintained.

About you

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, working closely with internal departments (Housekeeping, Front Office, Procurement, HR) and external contacts (guests, visitors, and suppliers).
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent qualification).
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in dry cleaning or a related field.
  • Practical knowledge of operating dry-cleaning equipment and handling a variety of fabrics.
