About the Job

An opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Supervisor to join us at Jumeirah Carlton Tower. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Supervise and oversee the daily activities of all team leaders and subordinates within the department to ensure smooth operations and adherence to Jumeirah procedures.
  • Monitor and inspect completed repair and maintenance works to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Assist in implementing, coordinating, and monitoring the Jumeirah Engineering Management System (JEMS), including systems for fire safety, life safety, preventive maintenance, and work orders.
  • Address and handle grievances, suggestions, and complaints from colleagues, recommending appropriate actions to the Director of Engineering or Chief Engineer as necessary.
  • Request support and direction as needed to effectively carry out duties and responsibilities.
  • Ensure familiarity with and compliance with all relevant Engineering Department policies, processes, and procedures.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Stakeholder Management: Works effectively with internal teams (Colleagues, Management, HR) and external stakeholders including Guests, Visitors, Contractors, Suppliers, and Vendors.
  • Qualifications: NVQ or City & Guilds in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline, plus IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety certification.
  • Technical Expertise: Competent in HVAC systems, BMS, FLS, and intermediate-level Microsoft Office applications.
  • Leadership & Delivery: Demonstrates strong leadership, team management, and project management capabilities.
  • Problem Solving & Attention to Detail: Creative, solutions-focused, and highly detail-oriented in approach.
