We have an exciting opportunity to join our operations team as Night Site Manager. The job is based at one of our prestigious clients in central London. You will directly report to the Assistant Contract Manager and will be tasked with overseeing the entire cleaning operation. Your responsibility is to ensure operational excellence, surpassing customer expectations.
This position is full time, 40 hours per week, you will be expected to work Monday through Friday from 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure specifications are followed and any periodic work is scheduled and carried out.
- Liaise with the HR team if there are any ER cases such as: investigations, disciplinary, welfare meeting, grievances, etc. Chair meetings when necessary.
- Encourage cleaners on a daily basis in order to motivate and improve productivity and assist them in any way to deal with problems or issues.
- Arrange cover for absent/sick cleaners or cleaners on holiday. Ensure cover cleaners are fully trained in site specification and site security etc.
- Ensure site security is maintained at all times.
- Work with facilities team and client to arrange for “set up cleans”, emergency cleans etc.
- Employ and train new cleaners thoroughly in all aspects of site-specific Health and Safety. This is to be done in conjunction with the Company training and induction policy and maintain and submit training records for all operatives.
- Direct and control all site based Health and Safety related matters, undertake risk assessments and communicate any issues or accidents to office based support team.
- Arrange delivery of stores and consumables. Distribute as necessary.
- Ensure store cupboards on site are clean and tidy. Ensure all cupboards are supplied with an up to date site file, a visible COSHH and colour coding poster.
- Undertake appraisals of cleaning staff to assess performance.
- Inform the office of any changes to your site, such as new alarm codes or names of new clients. This must be done as soon as possible so information can be updated. It is vital that a good channel of communication is maintained.
- Ensure cleaners are paid correctly and on time by providing accurate cash sheets.
- Co-ordinate holidays for your team of cleaners and ensure correct paperwork is completed and submitted to office.
Qualifications, Experience and Technical Knowledge:
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership position in commercial cleaning.
- Previous experience leading a team.
- Strong command of the English language.
