The Data & Business Analyst supports the Change Team in delivering BAU activities, operational change, reporting, and process improvement across the Guernsey Branch. The role is primarily focused on the coordination and delivery of day-to-day Change Team activities, including supporting new change initiatives, data analysis, process mapping, testing, producing management information, stakeholder support, and contribution to solution development.
The role requires strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills, alongside an interest in data, technology, process improvement, and efficiency. It provides exposure to business & data analysis, change delivery, and stakeholder engagement, with the opportunity to develop capability, take ownership, and contribute more broadly to new initiatives over time.
YOUR CHALLENGE- Support the Change Team in the delivery of BAU activities, operational change initiatives, tactical improvements, and strategic projects as required.
- Monitor, manage, triage, and track incoming requests to the Change Team, helping to prioritise work, maintain visibility of open items, and ensure requests are progressed appropriately.
- Produce, maintain, optimise, and schedule recurring and ad-hoc reports for business units, management committees, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with data extraction, transformation, cleansing, reconciliation, and analysis, ensuring outputs are complete, accurate, consistent, and fit for purpose.
- Work with business units, process owners, and other stakeholders to understand reporting needs, operational issues, and areas where data, analysis, technology, or other Change Team input could support better decision-making, improved controls, or more efficient business outcomes.
- Provide support to business users on Change Team-supported reports, tools, processes, templates, and applications, working with other Change Team members where further technical input, review, or prioritisation is required.
- Support stakeholder communications, updates, and reporting for the Change Director, COO, Operations Committee, Branch Management, or other relevant forums as required.
- Build knowledge of private banking and wealth management operations, key business processes, systems, controls, and data flows relevant to the Guernsey Branch.
- Assist with requirements gathering, documentation, and validation, translating business needs into clear analysis, reporting, process, or solution requirements.
- Support process mapping and current-state analysis, including documentation of processes, controls, handoffs, pain points, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Help to identify and assess opportunities to streamline, automate, digitise, or improve manual, paper-based, or inefficient processes.
- Contribute to the design, development, testing, documentation, and rollout of reports, dashboards, automations, workflow improvements, and other tactical solutions, with appropriate guidance and review.
- Support strategic projects through analysis, data preparation, prototyping, testing, documentation, implementation support, and post-implementation activity.
- Apply and develop technical skills such as Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, workflow tools, automation tools, or other approved applications.
- Prepare and maintain procedures, user guides, process documentation, solution documentation, Jira items, action logs, status updates, and other supporting artefacts required for effective delivery, support, auditability, and team workload management.
- Support process owners in the rollout, review, and ongoing improvement of business and regulatory initiatives.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of Change Team ways of working, including request management, documentation standards, reporting schedules, Jira hygiene, knowledge sharing, solution support, and team processes.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy, quality, and completing work to agreed standards.
- Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.

- A-levels, degree, or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as business, finance, mathematics, data analytics, technology, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in data analysis, reporting, business analysis, process improvement, automation, or operational change.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with the ability to work accurately with structured data.
- Exposure to tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI or Tableau, Power Automate, SharePoint, Power Apps or Flowable, VBA, or similar technologies.
- Ability to document requirements, processes, procedures, testing, issues, decisions, and actions clearly and consistently.
