JRRL is excited to partner with a small but rapidly growing consultancy firm to recruit an ambitious and forward-thinking Tax Director . This is your chance to step into a leadership role with true autonomy to shape and grow the tax service line, taking it to new heights. Our client specialises in supporting UK-based SMEs with outsourced financial services, including Accounts and VAT, and has an existing portfolio ready for you to manage and expand. If you’re motivated by making a significant impact, driving revenue growth, and delivering expert client services, this role could be your ideal next step.

Responsibilities for the Tax Director

  • Run the Tax service line, with responsibility for key strategic decisions around growth both in terms of the revenue stream and the headcount numbers
  • Manage and prepare tax deadlines and returns, including both Personal and Corporate Tax elements.
  • Assist with drafting Statutory accounts with regard to taxation notes and disclosures for review by the finance team.
  • Work on areas including CT returns, Transfer pricing, VAT, Personal tax returns, ERS submissions, EIS/SEIS, R&D tax credit, P11D’s and PSA submissions.
  • Liaise with HMRC on clients’ behalf to ensure client returns are processed efficiently and accurately.

Requirements for the Tax Director

  • Relevant qualification ACA, ACCA, CTA etc.
  • Wide Tax experience including areas such as Corporate Tax, Personal Tax, VAT etc.
  • Ability to work directly with clients to retain and win business
  • Ability to work with wider Leadership team to make strategic decisions regarding the growth of the business

The Tax Director role is a full-time, permanent position. The salary range reflects the candidate’s level of experience. The lower end of the band is suited for individuals who may require additional training to meet the role’s requirements, while the higher end is for candidates who possess the exact skills and experience outlined above.
