JRRL are looking for a Part Time Payroll Administrator to support the accurate and timely processing of payrolls for a portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will be able to work on a flexible basis, have strong organisational skills, a good understanding of payroll procedures and proficient Excel skills to assist with payroll data management, reporting and reconciliation. This is a Remote role; it will be expected that during the last two weeks of each month the workload will increase so there will be the need to work more hours.
Salary: £29,000 - £33,000pa (this is the full time equivalent salary range)
Duties of the Payroll Administrator:
- Process payroll for clients' employees accurately and on time.
- Maintain payroll records including starters, leavers, salary changes and deductions.
- Calculate statutory payments such as sick pay, parental pay and holiday entitlement.
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and payroll legislation.
- Use HR software to gather data and create reports: People HR and Zenoti experience would be helpful but not essential.
- Experience of Xero and Brightpay payroll helpful but not essential.
- Process P11Ds.
- Set up and run payrolling of benefits.
Person Specification for the Payroll Administrator:
- Previous experience in a payroll administration role.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Formulas, data analysis, pivot tables, V-Lookups).
- Good understanding of UK payroll processes and HMRC requirements.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
This role is a part time, permanent position. The salary range reflects the candidate's level of experience. The lower end of the band is suited for individuals who may require additional training to meet the role's requirements, while the higher end is for candidates who possess the exact skills and experience outlined above.
