Job Description:
Julia’s House is your local children’s hospice, looking after the most seriously ill children in Wiltshire and Dorset, who need 24 hour care for their complex and often rare medical conditions.Volunteers play a vital role in enabling us to be able to care for the child and be there for the family.
Julia\’s House rely on the public to raise 92% of our funding, which is why raising awareness in the community is vital. We are always on the look out for volunteers to help support our fundraising team in the community on an ad-hoc, flexible basis.
We are looking for support with the following:
Bucket collections:
- Manage donations and chat with the public to promote Julia\’s House. Usually these collections are in either a supermarket or in one of the local towns. We provide buckets and a small literature pack to take out with you.This will either be on your own or with another volunteer/member of staff.
- Being responsible for 3 collection cans in your area. Liaising with the establishment they are placed at to check when they are full and replace the can as required.
- Returning full cans to the hospice.
- A very flexible opportunity that can work around you.
Flyering:
- Distribute Julia\’s House flyers, as required, in your local area.
Sharing Julia\’s House events:
- Help promote Julia\’s House events by sharing these on local social media groups and pages.
Additional information:
- All necessary equipment / supplies that you need will be provided.

You don’t have to have experience to be a volunteer at Julia’s House as we provide all the training you will require.
