We are seeking a hardworking and dedicated Donation Specialist to join our friendly and enthusiastic retail team in our flagship shop at Creekmoor. You will be the first point of contact when donations are dropped off, and so excellent communication skills and a bright and happy outlook are essential to ensure this experience with Julia’s House is welcoming, friendly and positive.
Working in an extremely busy and fast-paced environment, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for receiving and moving large volumes of donations, including deliveries of furniture, that have been donated by our customers, supporters, and contractors. This is a physically demanding role and as a significant portion of this role will involve lifting and moving goods, including furniture, to/from the shop and sort room; manual handling training will be provided.
A strong work ethic, good organisational skills, the ability to apply sound judgement and the capability to work under pressure are all key skill requirements of the role. You will be expected to understand and advise donors about Gift Aid and its importance to the charity.

This is a zero hour bank contract, hours are based on a rota, covering shop opening hours (Monday – Sunday). This is a temporary contract lasting approximately 9 months. Interviews will be held on a date to be agreed.
